The St. Regis 2022 Awards & Graduation Ceremony marked an important milestone for our graduates. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our students, friends, families, and partners of the UBC community for their dedication and long-term support which have made this day possible.
The ceremony began with a moving speech from our Headmaster, Mr. Paul Hsu. In his speech, our Headmaster expressed his good wishes for the graduates, as well as his explicit hopes for them to remain mindful of the challenges and needs of our community in BC. As our community continued to endure challenges such as housing affordability crisis and various environmental concerns, our Headmaster encouraged our graduates to contribute and serve our community as they further their education and become professionals of various fields.
We are also honoured by the presence of President Dr. Santa Ono, the 15th President and Vice-Chancellor of UBC. In President Dr. Ono’s speech, he offered his personal accolades and reflections on both graduation and Truth and Reconciliation. President Ono also stated that he believes UBC is proud of what St. Regis has accomplished and that he will personally be working to strengthen the relationship between UBC and our school.
Once the graduates had crossed the stage and there had been an opportunity for pictures, UBC representatives, parents, students, friends, and family members gathered for a reception.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and we are so pleased that you were all able to join us for it!
