UBC offers many opportunities to prospective students. From creative degrees in writing and literature to more fast-paced specialisations in commerce or any of the myriad research-based scientific arenas, UBC students can explore their passions while contributing to global culture, growth, and development.
On June 7th St. Regis students had the opportunity to participate in UBC’s School Of Biomedical Engineering’s 4th Annual Symposium. Our head teacher accompanied students to the symposium where they had the chance to meet leading professionals in a wide range of biomedical fields. Students interacted and made connections with eminent researchers in fields such as renal studies and gut health, exploring what it means to follow a career in science and the contributions such scientists make to everyday life. These researchers and professionals shared their latest findings, insights, and reflections with our students.
Our students mingled, asked questions, read presentations, and discussed recent medical advancements with both local and international researchers, and everyone came away with a much clearer understanding of what life in the sciences looks like.
All in all, this was an amazing and educational opportunity, and the St. Regis administrative team is so pleased that we were able to share it with our students.
We look forward to many more such events in the 2022-2023 school year!
