PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is one of the Big Four accounting firms and ranks as the second-largest professional services network in the world. PwC operates in 157 countries, 742 locations, and has 284,000 employees.
UBC’s Faculty of Commerce invited St. Regis students to participate in the April 12th information session presented by PwC Canada’s staff and recruitment officers. PwC employees shared their insights and experiences, giving students an invaluable window into careers in accounting and explaining many of the benefits of working in the private sector.
To round out the conference, students were welcomed into small break-out groups in which they were afforded the opportunity to speak directly with presenters and PwC employees.
This event was particularly meaningful for students interested in pursuing a degree in commerce. We strongly encourage students with business-related interests to participate in similar events in the future.
