Home / Our Mission
At St. Regis, we foster leadership and life-long-learning, all while developing each student’s unique set of skills, talents, and interests. We help students become leaders and givers who define success not only by tangible achievements, but also by their impacts on the lives of others.
Our St. Regis @ UBC Programme helps students develop critical thinking skills, build confidence, and nurture effective learning habits
With our access to a wide range of UBC resources – including seminars, lectures, educational programmes, sports clubs, societies, and library resources – the St. Regis @ UBC Programme broadens students’ perspectives and provides unparalleled experience.
To fulfill the requirements of leading universities and ensure our students’ continuing success in the next phase of their academic journey, our core academic programme promotes research, interpersonal communication, time management, and self-reflection through daily reading, debate, and independent research projects.
St. Regis graduates continue their learning journeys in the best universities across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom to fulfill their academic and career aspirations.
With support from UBC, our University Placement Division (UPD) provides specific training on major standardised examinations including the BC Provincial Assessments and the SATs.
The UPD, formed by School and Regional Specialists, offers customised guidance for students. Our UPD guides students to UBC, The University of Toronto, Ivy League Universities, and other renowned post-secondary institutions.
Our advisors customise achievable plans to realise each student’s maximum potential based on personal interests, career aspirations, abilities, and academic performances.
At St. Regis, our students are encouraged to adhere to the highest ethical standards, becoming tomorrow’s leaders deserving of trust and eager to better the world.
Our vibrant, structured, and accepting environment encourages students to abide by the four core values we treasure – honour, empathy, creativity, and humility.
Our core values are vital to our existence. They define us and provide us with guidance in making decisions especially under challenging circumstances. They inspire us to become better people and encourage us to make positive contributions to the lives of others.
Reflecting these values, our purposeful programmes nurture admirable characters that equip our students to better tackle adversity and cope with stress. These qualities include:
At St. Regis, we have a rigorous screening process ensuring that only the most qualified teachers educate your children.
Our subject-specific specialists cooperate closely with UBC scholars to create and polish our curricula and pedagogical methods.
We employ only the most caring and academically astute teachers. Our teachers demonstrate care for the wellbeing, development, and growth of our students as well as genuine passion and respect for the teaching profession.
As part of our highly selective enrollment process, we focus on the potential and personal characteristics of each candidate rather than basing admission solely on an applicant’s academic performance record.
St. Regis recognises that communities thrive when they are comprised of people with diverse talents. Our students excel in a wide range of high level extra-curricular activities. From national level golfing, to beauty pageantry, mural-painting, and Rep A ice hockey, each St. Regis classroom includes a panoply of active, talented, and high level performers, athletes, and creatives.
In addition to fostering our students’ talents, St. Regis works closely with UBC to provide opportunities for students to volunteer and serve the community right on UBC’s beautiful campus. We admit only the most goal-oriented, intrinsically motivated team players, thereby creating a university-inspired atmosphere of academic excellence, ambition, and mutual support.
We believe that the incorporation of international students enhances the learning environment of our school, helping all students to broaden their horizons and explore other world views and narratives. However, as St. Regis primarily serves the local community, it is necessary to reserve at least 80% of our seats for local students.
