Home / UBC/AMS Clubs Extracurricular Program
Our students at St. Regis have the exceptional option to join a variety of academic societies and athletic clubs affiliated with UBC/AMS, where they take part in stimulating extracurricular intellectual and sporting events alongside UBC students. Currently, St. Regis collaborates with about twenty clubs and organizations, all of which have been carefully selected to fit our students’ interests, strengthen their university application materials, and satisfy our school’s unique student-centered requirements. These activities also help our students in exploring their personal passion and expanding their social network.
In the athletics-based clubs, St. Regis students are introduced to classic western traditions such as European fencing, aviary, and wrestling. These vibrant athletic endeavours collectively strengthen their agility, kinesthetic skills, and personal development.
In academic-based societies, students learn to explore specific areas of knowledge that are not covered by the conventional high school curriculum. Students who are members of the UBC Biological Sciences Society further their knowledge in biology and chemistry through conducting DNA experiments. Similarly, students who participate in UBC Solar Club further their understanding in physics through scientific experiments that form the core backbone of constructing a next-generation solar-powered race car.
Joining clubs and societies provides students with a holistic experience, enhancing their academic growth while also enriching their enjoyment. These extracurricular activities offer opportunities to apply classroom knowledge in real-world contexts, collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds, and develop new skills. Additionally, this privilege gives our students a tremendous opportunity to explore their unique interests and widen their social networks, in addition to giving them a chance to meet and connect with members of the university community. Participating in clubs and societies fosters a sense of community and belonging, making the academic journey more enjoyable and fulfilling.
